I am a contemporary artist with a practice rooted in research and exploring topics such as the natural world, anatomy, spirituality, and social issues. I am particularly interested in rituals surrounding different aspects of life - including death - and showing reverence toward other creatures.

I also have a collection of my ceramic vessels currently stocked in Edit - a lifestyle store celebrating makers and designers from the North-East of Scotland. Located at Unit 11 of the Bon Accord Shopping Centre in Aberdeen.

Grounded Vessels is a collection of hand-built organically-formed vessels.
This series is inspired by my time in France at Casa Julfa in 2023, as I was reintroduced to hand building and introduced to an ancestral method of making involving pinching and coiling.
This collection is about celebrating the clay, showing the handmade, and the grounding nature of working with this medium.
In late 2023, I undertook a residency at Casa Julfa in Montmorillon, France—a place steeped in elemental beauty and ancestral craft. The resulting body of work, La Terre et le Feu (Earth and Fire), comprises of wood-fired ceramics that embody the raw alchemy of place, process, and presence.
Thrown and hand-built forms emerge from locally foraged clay, shaped slowly and fired in a wood kiln. The collection reflects a deep engagement with the land and its rhythms—digging, drying, wedging, and forming as meditative acts. The residency became a space of grounding and transformation, where I reconnected with ancestral methods and the soulful tactility of clay.
La Terre et Le Feu III is a thrown terracotta wide dish that was dropped into a box of hay, while the vessel was still hot from the kiln, which causes the hay to combust around the vessel, creating a blackened smoked surface. The process is called Reduction. This piece is left raw without a glaze.

Terracotta Vessels is a collection of thrown ceramics using the rich orange clay of terracotta when creating my forms. This beautiful clay reminds me of warmer and sunnier days.
These vessels are created to be versatile in how you can use them in your homes. I envisage them being used as vases for fresh or dried flowers, plant pots for succulents, for cups of tea or a small flat white or espresso, for small dishes for snacks like olives or nuts, and to hold jewellery when you are being messy or creative.
Each of my ceramic vessels is unique, as I throw and hand-build intuitively rather than aiming for the same shape each time, and constantly growing my clay and glaze repertoire.

I would recommend using this vessel as a cup for a small coffee, alongside a teapot of herbal tea, or for a little aperitivo of olives.
